This is my second Hambini BB fitted into my Giant TCR road bike. I also have a BB386 fitted into my Gravel bike and both have been brilliant. The BBs fit well and perform flawlessly, with zero creaks and smooth rotation.

The Quality of engineering, materials and bearings used is excellent. They are expensive, but I’m a firm believer that you get what you pay for and in this case, I’m not disappointed. I won’t fit any other kind of BB into my bikes.

Keep up the entertaining YouTube videos Hambini.

I have wanted a Hambini BB for a long time and it’s only now that he has made this type available. I have a small obstruction in the frame and this prevented me from using his one piece designs. Just like the other reviews have said, this is another level of engineering. It is like holding a piece of artwork. I also ordered the tool that he recommends. The fit, finish and function are all first class.

Hambini is the engineer’s engineer. He doesn’t care for flashy graphics, his videos are subtly crafted comedy but be under no illusions he is a gifted engineer.

A man at the very top of his game, some might say expensive. Factor in the lack of hassle and the Top grade technical support, you are getting a bargain

Fast Delivery, Excellent Customer service and wow what a product. Slotted straight into my Giant frame with no problems. Much better than the OE bottom bracket.

I’m switching over my other bikes to Hambini BB’s too.

  6. Mike K.

Easy to install. The overall fit and the tolerances of the threads seem much better than the Wheels Mfg BB that it replaced.

My new Hambini BB replaced my Shimano Ultegra BB86 bottom bracket and what a difference! The instructions were great and easy to read too. I’ve only gotten to ride it once because of the weather but it spins super smooth and “feels” stiffer probably because its made of metal and not plastic like the shimano one.

I am already looking forward to replacing my other BB with Hambini’s as I need too.

Its all about pushing watts in bike game, this bb is a different level to what I hade before, is so smooth literally no resistance what so ever! Expensive upgrade but worth it!

Wanted to upgrade bottom bracket as it was starting to creak at times. HAMBINI was the obveious choice.Ordered BB insallation tool as well, had already purchased BB go/nogo gauge BB86/BB92 to make sure I could fit this BB before purchasing it.I will be upgrading my GIANT 2021 TCR when the BB starts to fail.I can not thank HAMBINI enough for the great service, supper fast!

Suggestion and Question: Can you include in your BB products a list of recommended bearings for replacements in your "additional information" section? I want to replace the bearing with full contact sealed bearings and i think i found the right replacement bearing: 61805-2RS-SKF. That is correct, right? I saw the W variant would be stainless steel, which seems not to be desired. Martin Herrmann asked on January 25, 2024

You can find the correct sizes in the technical support section

https://www.hambini.com/support/installation/hambini-bottom-bracket-installation/

https://www.hambini.com/support/maintenance-and-removal/hambini-bottom-bracket-bearing-replacement/

Stainless steel bearings will corrode less but they have a very low load capacity so you are more likely to be deform them under load.

Hi Hambini! To mount this bb do i need 2 tools or is it ok to use just one at the time? Thank you! Marwin asked on November 5, 2023

It's easier with two, however me and lots of others have used one. At a certain point the friction will hold the other side tight.

Hello there. Bought a 2021 TCR Pro 0 and looking at Hambini bb, gunna use mechanical groupset and the tce bb area seems quite restricted in regards to cable access. Would this bb suit better than a ' standard' bb86 davebike1 asked on June 1, 2023

yes it would

Why and how is this especially more suited for Giant bikes? Am looking to get one for a Giant Propel 2023. So this would be recommended over the one piece BB that you carry? Kent asked on March 17, 2023

Giant bikes often (but not always) have an obstruction through the centre, this will get around that problem.
