Zero Friction Cycling, run by former policeman Adam Kerin, presents itself as a trusted source for friction-reducing products, but behind the scenes, a lack of engineering knowledge and unverified testing methods raise red flags. Despite requesting sensitive industry data without doing foundational research, Kerin’s approach appears more focused on marketing high-margin products than adhering to rigorous engineering standards. His testing setup is flawed, and the data he presents, particularly in support of ceramic bearings and chain lubricants, lacks scientific backing. Is this the work of an expert or just another slick sales pitch?
Off Subject here. I’m trying to convert a Bontrager front disk wheel over from a quick release to a 15 mm through axle. The bearing that is presently in there is a unsealed roller that has an external rubber seal on the quick release axle. The bearing bed measures to 24.75. (I have to eyeball this with a Vernier) Is there a bearing that fits this and has the proper clearance for a 15 mm through axle?
Bought a Scott scale 900 RC worldcup N1no colours hardtail model 2019. The pressfit SRAM Eagle dub bearings in the BB do not run smooth. I want to change the bearings but cannot find how. Which Hambini bearings can I use for racing and how do I handle the plastic cap that covers the bearings without risk of destroying it.
