Q & A
I just purchased this, but was informed there is a ceramic bearing option. Is that true & how can I update the order to reflect the change?
No Hambini Bottom Bracket has ever been available with ceramic bearings. Ceramic bearings are not suitable for this application, the spindle speeds are not fast enough and the road vibration would cause them to pit the races.
Will this fit a 2021 Trek Emonda SL frame?
(Thanks for all your good work!)
Yes it will
Any possibility of paying in installments in the near future?
It's a good idea, I'll have a look.
Are you considering a 30mm (ROTOR ALDHU) version of the T47 internal threadfit for TREK frames?
Yep, that should be within the next couple of weeks.
Can this T47 bb for 86.5 shell replace the Threadfit from Colnago aka T45 threadfit?
No It can't. you'd need a specific T45 bottom bracket. These are made to order, use the contact button if you would like one.

Great piece of hardware, I gave it to my custom frame builder and he was blown away by the quality and precision of the bottom bracket. I have two with BSA threading on my other bikes and they preform flawlessly

So I bought this after watching several hours of a loud mouthed 5 YO on YouTube. I am totally satisfied with my purchase. Once you pick this up and use the fitting tool that is also listed you’ll realize what precision engineering is. This is a different league. I have used so called top of the range parts on my bike over the years and they have been of varying quality, this blows them into the weeds. He is loud and foul mouthed but it’s for show. Pre purchase sales and after sales are easily the best – fast, courteous and technically articulate. Buy one, you won’t be regret it.

Fitted like charm (Trek Emonda). Not much to add. BB is just spectacular 🙂

Let me start this review by saying I previously had a Chris King in the bike. That has since been binned and replaced with this. I bought this and the fitting adaptor together. Everything arrived quickly and the experience pre sales, during sales and after sales has been the best I have ever come across.
The bottom bracket fitted with ease, the internal sleeve that aligns it is very clever, I was amazed how much play there was with the Chris King versus the Hambini. There is zero backlash when the center sleeve engages. I had originally intended to take this to a bike shop to be fitted but the tooling and design make this so easy that I did it at home.
Out on the bike, it has been without fault, even under extreme loads.
Before purchasing, I was initially skeptical as to whether buying a bottom bracket from a lunatic on YT was a good idea. In hindsight, I should have done it sooner.

It only took a couple of minutes to fit. The center sleeve design that goes into the other side is very clever. It was surprising how much slack there was in plain threads.
Don’t waste your time with a bike shop. Save yourself some money, buy the Hambini Tool for this BB and wrench it in.
Arrived in the US in about a week. I am totally satisfied with my purchase, everything is extremely slick. This is how it should be.

Haven’t installed it yet but just holding it shows the craftsmanship and precision that goes into making this bottom bracket. Looking forward to the install.

I don’t usually bother leaving reviews but this product is an exception. I initially had some reservations about buying a product from a self-proclaimed 5 year old. However, upon emailing him I found him to be courteous, polite and his technical knowledge is another level.
The bottom bracket came in a plain box. it was well packed and arrived with no damage. The fitting was without issue. I also bought the Hambini Tool T6806 and this fits the BB perfectly. The center section is used for aligning between sides and is not something I have seen in any other design.
For performance, I cannot fault it. The feel is noticeably more direct than the OEM Praxis unit that it replaced. It feels like there is less drag as well. A 5 star product, backed by 5 star service and a 5 year old to go with it.

So much smoother compared to the old BB. Love it!

I cannot believe how good this spins. It is so smooth and easy to pedal over my previous BB. The machining is so good too. Worth every penny. Thanks Hambini 🙂 ps: For being designed by a 5 year old hair dresser banger, I am very impressed.
