Cycling aerodynamics in recent times has been dominated by “wind tunnel data” used by vendors to highlight the benefits of their particular wheel or frameset. This data has often been shrouded in marketing spin accompanied by some lavish blurb about yaw angles. However, there has been a recent trend towards discounting this data or at…
PF30A Cannondale Bottom Bracket designed and built by an individual who had a slightly oval bottom bracket aperture. This design also necks the center section to allow for more clearance for cables.
Campagnolo cranksets have a reputation of being well engineered and robust but they are not without their problems and quirks. This post explains one of those in detail which surrounds the myths of the preload system, the “safety clip”, the system stiffness (or lack of it) and the involved nature of a bearing replacement. Campagnolo Ultra Torque is found on many of the upper range of Cranksets including the Super Record and Record.
Lightbicycle are a far eastern company that has been making bike wheels for a considerable length of time. They sent in a set of their Falcon Pro wheels which have a constantly varying cross section for test. These performed very well.
Those of you who are avid viewers of a number of Internet forums will have noted that some results from my bike wheel wind tunnel testing have been contested and criticized. The ultimate result was I ended up getting banned from weightweenies for a week for calling Tom Anhalt of bike blather a spec of…
The Winspace T1600 is a carbon aero frameset that offers serious engineering quality at a price that makes most Western brands look absurd. This review takes a detailed look at the frame from an actual engineering standpoint, not the usual vague “ride feel” commentary from influencers and shop mechanics. With clean internal routing, tight manufacturing tolerances, and consistent carbon layup, the T1600 delivers performance without the marketing fluff. I have been riding the frame extensively with no issues to report so far. Everything fits, everything works, and nothing creaks. It is designed by people who understand structural mechanics, not branding. Wind tunnel test results will be covered in the next video. If you are tired of being sold £4,000 frames based on Tour de France photos and buzzwords, the T1600 might be the reality check you need. Especially if you’re still taking advice from someone trying to crowdfund a bike shop refit.

Awesome, KUDOS! I have one question. I have Caad 12 Disc version, so is there enough space for hydraulic tube for rear disc brake?
KUDOS again!
The centre section of this BB is the same size as a 30mm crank so it has the same amount of clearance. If your hydraulic lines fit in that envelope then this BB should work.
Did you manage to get this to work with hydraulics? Having a few issues here.
