Cassette Lock ring suitable for Shimano/SRAM freehubs. This item was designed and developed to allow sufficient clamping force to be applied a cassette to prevent bite slippage and stripping of the freehub threads. It can also be used on hubs where the thread has been stripped. This is a heavy duty unit made of nickel plated steel
- 1.2 x 24 TPI Right hand threading
- Nickel Plated Steel
- 7.5mm deep threading, the OE unit is approximately 4mm
- Fits a standard Shimano cassette Lockring tool
- Flat tooth engagement faces to reduce stress.
- Designed and Manufactured in the United Kingdom
- Does not fit Micro Spline
- This is a Grade 7 Fastener therefore Marks from machining, plating, or grinding may be present (if you care about aesthetics please look elsewhere). This is a functional component and appearance is not a design requirement.

This was perfect! This is the perfect solution if you’re needing more threads on your lock ring or want it to grab better than the usual 2-3 threads normal lock rings give you.

Hope fortus wheel with shimano hg compatible freehub and 11sp SRAM 11-36 cassette. Original Shimano lockrings only had at most 2-2.5 threads engaged and I wasn’t happy to torque them at that. The Hambini deep lockring gave a much more secure hold on the freehub and no concerns torquing to 40nm. The machining on the ring appeared perfect and I couldn’t fault the item or the ordering process/delivery. Doesn’t come with a thin washer and I used mine without.

This is a very well made lock ring with extra long thread.
Used on a rear Halo road wheel using a mountain bike cassette. The cassette no longer comes loose after some rough terrain.

A lock ring that as far as I know is not available anywhere else. For my setup, it made the difference between being able to use a high end wheel or not. I didn’t like that a standard lock ring only threaded about 1 single turn to hold the cassette on. This did it. Thank you Mr. Hambini! Btw, fast trackable shipping too!
